Zero Waste Fundraiser

01 Mar

One Brickers assisted Seven Generations Ahead with their Zero Waste Fundraiser in River Forest. The event featured the construction of an eco-friendly home in the western suburb of River Forest.

Attendees were treated to a tour of the home which features renewable energy, energy efficiency, water and resource conservation and toxic-free materials. The highlight of the tour was a 900 gallon containment in the basement which stores rain water for use to water the lanscape of the property.

Organic wine and chesse were supplied by local merchants of River Forest and Oak Park for attendees. A raffle was held for free consultations from the contractors who assisted in the construction of the home…one even included a pear tree.

One Brickers assisted with coat check, registration, raffle tickets sales as well as the very important task of mingling with the guests to ensure everyone is having a good time.
